I went back into CelAction last week with a character that I’ve made in Illustrator. And created this animation below.

I got my influence from current UFC fighter CM Punk and Family Guy’s Stewie Griffin.

Then I done a few rough sketches of the character.

Then, I went into Illustrator to create the character, then export it to a Photoshop file.

Then in CelAction, after the character was rigged, I played around with the character and went back into Illustrator and alter the character that needed to be altered with such as the body. And went back into CelAction until I got it right what I wanted to do such as getting the punchline right which was vital.

Then I exported the file and added some titles in Premiere for the final animation.

More to come, with different characters.

Whybird flying test

For the first time in a while, I went back into CelAction to do a few things with a character that I’ve made. And I created this animation below.

I got my influence from my youth, from the old Playday TV show from the early 1990s, a character called Whybird.

First, I went into Illustrator to create the character, then export it to a Photoshop file.

Then in CelAction, after the character was rigged, I did a flying bird cycle. The first one needed improvements with, which the second video shows the improvements.

While the final two animations was acting the character out and mixing it with the second flying bird cycle added in After Effects and adding a background in and altering the filters too.

More to come, with different characters if possible to do so.

Sleeping Beauty

And starting of with something completely different for 2015. I did this lovely drawing a week a go.

I was influence by the Princess Aurora (alias Briar Rose) Character in Disney’s animated version of Sleeping Beauty.

First I started off drawing the character down on paper and scanned it in.

Then drawn colour and shape in Illustrator, and finished off in After Effects with background and lighting effects for the finished version below.

Fake Essex History – the final animation

So here is the final version of my final animation for Uni. Altered a few bits from the animation which includes the change of the title from ‘The Jolly Awful and Really Quite Wretched Conquest Of Colchester’ which was quite long to a simpler ‘Fake Essex History’. Which now includes below a poster from the end of year show, one side of the business card, and screen shots.
