Waterloo sketches exercises

This post should have been posted around six months ago, but I forgot to do so. So better late than later. Anyway, the class went to Waterloo Station (13\2\13), to do a few drawing exercises. The morning exercise was to draw one area of Waterloo station and draw five different sketches of different views inside the station.

So therefore, I used the signboard above the centre of the station for my reference of the sketches below.

The afternoon session meanwhile, was to make a mini storyboard to create at least six sketches involving one person or more being in-an event that begins in Waterloo station and finishes outside by the river.

For that, I drawn down nine sketch to create my story with, which was a love story to find someone outside the South Bank Centre, were the story ends.

Mood-boards and early sketches for new project

For the first time in a wee while, a new post. This post is a start of a new project, basically working with the British Postal Museum and Archive (BPMA) until of middle of June. And this project is to produce an animation for under a minute, which connects to the theme of ‘near and far’ and is inspired by research from the The Royal mail Archive and BPMA Museum Collection.

But the moment here is some Mood-boards and early sketches for a new project on what idea I might have for now.

There will be more posts to come this week, which includes concept art, story and storyboards.

On the Farm

This post should have been posted around a month ago, but I forgot to do so. So better late than later. Anyway, I went to Mudchute Farm (10\1\13) and Park in east\central London and Lee Valley Park Farm (12\1\12) at Waltham Abbey in Essex this was research for the creature project. Enjoy the sketches.

Followthrough test 2 part 1

This post will be a two-part post. This is a continuation from the first Followthrough test from a few weeks back. I started off with some sketches of what my character may look like. I done some of my designs in my sketchbook and in Flash to see what the animal will look like below.

I decided to choose the shark, because I felt that the fin/tale would work well with the followthrough, and the shark doesn’t have legs so it would be an easy animation to drawn down and it would give an different edge to my animation.
